Data retention and privacy

Catchbase stores two broad categories of data on your behalf: account data (the organization, its users, its integrations, and its billing customer) and marketing data (campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and the performance data pulled from Apple Ads and your MMP). This page explains how to request data changes, how to export, and how to end your relationship with Catchbase. Several of these actions are not self-serve today and require contacting support.

Before you start

  • Viewing the organization and initiating deletion requires Admin role.
  • Privacy requests that go beyond self-serve deletion (for example, access or erasure requests under GDPR that touch individual users) require a written request to Catchbase support.

Data categories and retention

Catchbase retains the following data for as long as your organization is active:

  • Account data. Organization record, user records, role assignments, and the link to your Stripe customer.
  • Integration credentials. Apple Ads OAuth tokens, App Store Connect keys, and MMP credentials. Credentials are stored encrypted and are used only to pull data into Catchbase and, where applicable, to write changes back to Apple Ads.
  • Marketing data. Campaign, ad group, and keyword definitions; historical spend, impressions, taps, installs, revenue, and derived metrics; incrementality test configurations and results; budget allocation history; discovery automation runs and their output.

Specific retention windows for raw event-level data are not currently exposed as a self-serve setting. If you need a specific retention window documented for a compliance review, contact support.

Export your data

Catchbase does not offer a self-serve data export today. There is no CSV export button on the analytics tabs, no saved or scheduled reports, and no public API. The Data export issues page lists the workarounds most teams use (screenshots for finance; pulling the same install and revenue data from your MMP's own API if you need it programmatically).

For a bulk export of data tied to your organization, including anything outside what the MMP holds, contact Catchbase support with a written request. Expect a business-days turnaround. See How Catchbase handles your data for what Catchbase stores on your behalf and where.

Privacy and GDPR

Catchbase processes personal data on behalf of the customer organization. Individual user accounts that sit inside an organization contain an email address, a display name, a social login provider where applicable, and a role assignment.

Two privacy-relevant actions are self-serve today:

  • An Admin can remove a user from the organization on the Users tab. See Team management. This revokes access but does not delete the user's own Catchbase account.
  • A user can be re-invited to rejoin later if needed.

Other privacy requests, including individual-level access requests, erasure requests that apply across all organizations a user belongs to, or portability requests, are handled by Catchbase support. Send the request from an email address associated with the user or from an Admin in their organization.

Delete your account

To delete the whole organization and the data tied to it, use the Delete Organization action on the Organization page. See Organization settings for the step-by-step. Deletion is permanent and removes campaigns, integrations, the Stripe customer link, and the associated infrastructure for that organization.

To delete only your personal user account while leaving organizations you belong to intact, contact support. A self-serve control for this is not available today.
