Editing and activating allocations

Once you have an allocation in place, this page covers the day-to-day operations on it: editing, activating or deactivating, and deleting.

Before you start

Edit

  1. Open the allocation from the Budget Allocation list.
  2. Change the campaign list, the total daily budget, or individual percentage sliders. New campaigns start at 0% until you move a slider or click Allocate with AI.
  3. Percentages must sum to 100; the dialog blocks save otherwise.
  4. Save. Catchbase writes the new per-campaign daily budgets back to Apple Ads on the next sync.

Activate and deactivate

  • Active: Catchbase writes the allocation's per-campaign budgets to Apple Ads and the weekly scheduler re-runs the allocator.
  • Inactive: the allocation is preserved but does not write budgets and is skipped by the weekly scheduler.

Toggle active state from the list row. Activating does not erase the current percentages.

Deactivate when you want to lock in a manual edit so the weekly scheduler does not overwrite it, or pause portfolio-level control without deleting the allocation.

Delete

Open the row menu and pick Delete. The allocation and its history are removed. Apple Ads daily budgets on the affected campaigns revert to whatever was set before activation; they do not reset to zero.

Deactivate first if you want to confirm the per-campaign Apple Ads budgets look right without the allocation holding them. Use delete only when the allocation will not be useful again.
