Multilingual discovery

Keyword Mining runs independently per market, in each market's own language. A campaign in Germany gets German keywords sourced from German search data; a campaign in Japan gets Japanese keywords sourced from Japanese search data. Nothing is translated from an English seed list.

Before you start

  • Active Apple Ads campaigns in each market you want to run discovery for.
  • The app is available on the App Store in each of those markets.

How it works

Every discovery run is scoped to one app and one market. Catchbase sources local search data, generates keyword candidates from it, and scores them against your app's description and purpose. Scoring works across languages: a Japanese keyword can be compared against an English description because the comparison is made on meaning, not words. The same scoring inputs apply in every language. See How keyword scoring works.

The practical value is that you surface terms you would never have thought to target in markets where manual research in an unfamiliar language is not realistic.

Using it in the product

Select a market in the Keyword Mining filter bar. The Keyword Discovery tab then shows the keywords found for that market and language. In a discovery automation, the source markets field accepts several markets at once and the automation sources keywords from each of them on every run. See Discovery automations.
