Integration sync errors

An integration shows an error on Settings → Integrations, or a feature that depends on an integration has stopped working. This page covers the three integrations and the common failure modes for each.

Before you start

  • Identify which integration is failing: Apple Ads, an MMP, or App Store Connect.
  • Have admin access to the corresponding external account. Reconnecting usually requires it.

Apple Ads

Symptom: the Apple Ads row shows a red status, or bid writes are not reaching Apple Ads.

Common causes

  • The OAuth token has expired or been revoked on Apple's side. Tokens rotate periodically.
  • The user who originally authorized the connection has been removed from the Apple Ads account, or their Apple Ads role has been downgraded.
  • Apple rotated a permission scope and the old authorization is no longer sufficient.

Fix

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → Apple Ads.
  2. Click Disconnect on the failing row, then click Connect Apple Ads.
  3. Authorize with an Apple ID that currently has admin access to the Apple Ads account.
  4. Select the campaign groups to activate after the OAuth callback returns. Bids start writing again once the first sync completes.

MMP (Adjust or AppsFlyer)

Symptom: the MMP row shows an error, or revenue and installs have stopped flowing.

Common causes

  • The API token was rotated on the MMP side.
  • The token owner's access was revoked.
  • For AppsFlyer Partner, the marketplace connection was disabled.

Fix

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → MMP.
  2. Open the provider row and replace the API token with a freshly generated one from the MMP dashboard.
  3. Save. Catchbase runs a test call on save; a green status means data will resume flowing on the next scheduled sync.
  4. For AppsFlyer Partner, reconnect through the marketplace if the token path does not apply.

App Store Connect (ASC)

Symptom: the ASC row shows an error, or Creative Studio publishes fail.

Common causes

  • The ASC API key has been deleted, expired, or downgraded in App Store Connect.
  • The key was created with the wrong role; Creative Studio publishes require Sales and Reports plus Marketing.
  • The key's private key file was regenerated and never re-uploaded.

Fix

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → App Store Connect.
  2. Create a new admin API key in App Store Connect if the previous one was removed, or download the private key file for the existing key.
  3. Run the four-step onboarding wizard. Step 4 validates the key against a test call; a successful save indicates the integration is healthy.

When to contact support

If a reconnect succeeds but the same error returns within minutes, capture the exact error message, the timestamp, and a screenshot of the integration row, and contact your Catchbase representative.
