Team management

The Users tab on the Organization page is where an admin invites teammates, changes their roles, and removes them from the workspace. This page explains the roles available to customers, walks through the invite flow, and shows how to change a role or remove a user.

Before you start

  • Admin role. Inviting users, changing their role, and removing them are all Admin-only actions.
  • The person being invited needs an email address. They will receive an invitation by email.
  • Admin, Editor, and Viewer can all see the user list.

The three roles

Catchbase has three roles you assign to users in your organization.

  • Admin. Full control of the organization: integrations, campaigns, keywords, budget allocation, incrementality, discovery, billing, and user management.
  • Editor. Can read everything an Admin can read and can update campaigns, ad groups, keywords, budget allocations, incrementality tests, and discovery automations. Cannot invite users, change billing, or delete resources.
  • Viewer. Read-only access across campaigns, keywords, analytics, and results.

For the complete capability-by-capability breakdown, see the Permissions reference in Section 13. This page keeps the descriptions at the summary level so that the matrix has a single source of truth.

Invite a user

  1. Open Settings → Organization and select the Users tab.

  2. Click Invite User. The Invite User dialog opens.

  3. Enter the person's Email Address.

  4. Select a Role from the dropdown. The list contains Admin, Editor, and Viewer.

  5. Click Send Invitation. Catchbase sends the invite and shows it under Pending Invitations with an expiry date. The invitee must accept the invite before it expires; if it does, invite them again.

The invited user signs in with the email address you entered and arrives in the organization with the role you assigned. They do not need to be a Catchbase user beforehand.

Change a user's role

  1. On the Users tab, find the user row.
  2. Click the role dropdown in the Role column.
  3. Choose a new role. A confirmation dialog opens.
  4. Click Update Role. The change takes effect immediately for that user's next request.

Remove a user

  1. On the Users tab, find the user row.
  2. Click the red trash icon in the Actions column.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, click Remove User.

Removal is immediate. The user loses access to the organization's data but their Catchbase account remains, so they can still be invited to other organizations.
